Welcome to as week before the final of Melodifestivalen 2025! This week Mello will go to Jönköping, where the heat 5 and second chance will take place. This week line-up for heat 5 is:

1. Ring baby ring  –  Arvingarna

Arvingarna returns to Melodifestivalen for the seventh time, after debuting in 1993 with the classic “Eloise”. Over the years, there have been no less than 15 albums, several Swedish top hits and three Grammys for the band. Their most recent entry in Melodifestivalen was “Tänker inte alls gå hem” in 2021, and before that “I Do” in 2019. Arvingarna are known for their cheerful performances, they tour extensively and continue to expand their repertoire with new music and covers.


2. This Dream of Mine  –  Arwin

Arwin, 17, became famous with the hit “För bra för att vara sant”, which went viral on TikTok and popular on radio stations. He participated in the Rix FM Festival tour and conducted his own summer tour in Sweden. Despite his short career, he has released several singles and balances music with studies at a music high school. Arwin’s music combines disco, pop and electronic elements and his Melodifestival entry, “This Dream Of Mine”, is autobiographical and written together with Julie Aagaard, Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt, Anderz Wrethov and Peter Boström.


3. Hate You So Much  –  Saga Ludvigsson

Saga Ludvigsson became famous as a twelve-year-old in Talang 2019 and reached the final of Idol 2023, where she finished in second place. Saga has released music, including the single “Hercules”, and toured with Diggiloo’s summer tour. Despite her young age, she has extensive experience as a live artist and creates strong connections with her audience. Now she makes her debut in Melodifestivalen, where she wants to deliver an energetic number that shows her identity as an artist.


4. Love It!  –  Victoria Silvstedt

Victoria Silvstedt returns to music as she makes her debut in Melodifestivalen with the song “Love It!”, written by Jimmy Jansson and Thomas G:son. Silvstedt, who grew up in Bollnäs, has had a successful career in the modeling world, television, film and music. In 1999, she took the step into the music industry with her debut album “Girl on the Run” which sold Gold in Sweden. The singles “Hello Hey” and “Rocksteady Love” (featuring Turbo B) became big hits. After participating in “Masked Singer Sverige” in 2021 and making a comeback at the festival “Vi som älskar 90-talet” in 2023, she is now continuing her musical journey.


5. I’m Yours  – Vilhelm Buchaus

Text & music: Elias Edman, Jonatan Lahti, Simon Alexander Ward, Vilhelm Buchaus  

Vilhelm Buchaus has created his musical expression with influences from Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and John Mayer. After sharing covers and his own songs on YouTube, he debuted in 2023 with the single “First Cut” and released the EP “Quiet Rooms” in the fall of 2024. Vilhelm Buchaus’ music moves between pop and rock, with a modern singer/songwriter style. He combines piano arrangements and acoustic elements with bombastic drums and distorted guitars. In his music, he shares his life experiences of doubt and inner conflicts.  


6. Sweet N’ Psycho  –  SCARLET

Text & music: Anderz Wrethov, Dino Medanhodzic, Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt, Scarlet Hunts, Thirsty 

Metal duo SCARLET had their breakthrough in Melodifestivalen 2024 with “Circus X” and will compete again in 2025 with “Sweet N’ Psycho”. The song is about embracing your extremes and breaking norms. SCARLET, consisting of Scarlet Hunts and Thirsty, released their debut album “Obey the Queen” in 2020 and toured Europe in 2022. They have been featured in publications such as Metal Hammer and played at major rock festivals. With millions of streams and extensive radio play, SCARLET has quickly established itself on the metal scene. 


For the Second Chance, we have four contestants, the fifth will come from Heat 5.
