This week: Deltavling 1 of 🇸🇪 Melodifestivalen 2026

Welcome to Melodifestivalen 2026 – Sweden’s National Final for Eurovision Song Contest.

The 1st stop from this year’s edition is in Linköping at Saab Arena.

What we will cover: snippets release, live blog & pics from rehearsals, rehearsals clips.

In each Thursday evening, we will publish our top for Melodifestivalen’s heat.

The contestants in this heat are:

1. Greczula – Half of Me

Kristofer Greczula broke through with the platinum-selling single “You Are Not Alone.” With the song “Believe Me,” he advanced straight to the final of Melodifestivalen 2025, went on to secure a bronze placement, and won over a massive TV audience.Greczula has performed at major events such as Allsång på Skansen and the Grammis Awards, toured as the opening act for Mando Diao, and is a frequent presence on Swedish radio. His 2022 debut album Live and Let Live moves between euphoric rock and stripped-back ballads, and includes an English interpretation of Björn Skifs’ “Håll mitt hjärta,” with clear influences from Prince and David Bowie. In Melodifestivalen 2026, Greczula competes with the glam-pop track “Half of Me.”


2. Jacqline – Woman

Jacqline rose to prominence in Idol 2021, where she finished as runner-up, and following the success of “Effortless” in Melodifestivalen 2024, she now returns with the song “Woman.” The entry is described as a love song that also celebrates femininity, strength, sensuality, and the courage to love fully. The 27-year-old artist from Tumba is setting her sights on an international career, has worked in music studios in London, and draws inspiration from artists such as Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar. She has also appeared in the stage production “Infruset – Själens skrubbsår” at Dalhalla. In 2024, Jacqline was named “Best Swedish Newcomer” at the NRJ Music Awards.


3. noll2 – Berusade ord

The pop duo noll2 from Örnsköldsvik consists of Jakob and Wilmer, both born in 2002. They first met on their way to a music lesson and began by playing cover songs together before starting to write their own music in the summer of 2022. Shortly thereafter, they left behind their apartments, jobs, and sense of security, packed up their car, and moved to Ystad to be closer to the producer they wanted to work with. In 2023, noll2 made their debut with the single “Maja,” which was followed by TV appearances and live performances. Most recently, the duo broke through with “Störd,” which went viral on TikTok and entered Spotify’s Top 50.


4. Junior Lerin – Copacabana Boy

Junior Lerin is well known in Sweden through the television programmes documenting his life with artist Lars Lerin. Born in Brazil, Junior Lerin had his major breakthrough through his participation in Let’s Dance 2025, and is now taking the next step as an artist in Melodifestivalen with the entry “Copacabana Boy,” written by Fredrik Andersson. The song blends Brazilian rhythms with pop, aiming both to bring a party atmosphere and to encourage listeners to dare to live life to the fullest.


5. Indra – Beautiful Lie

Indra Elg, known simply as Indra, is a multi-creator from Växjö, now based in Lund. She has been writing songs since childhood and is known for her fearless stage presence and deeply personal artistic expression. On social media, Indra’s voice has made a strong impact, amassing over 2.4 million likes on TikTok. In Melodifestivalen 2026, she competes with “Beautiful Lie,” a song about the inner struggle between leaving something you know is wrong and holding on to a beautiful lie. The song was created together with the team behind last year’s winning entry, “Bara bada bastu.”


6. A*Teens – Iconic

Text & music: Dino Medanhodzic, Jimmy Jansson, Lina Hansson, Moa ”Cazzi Opeia” Carlebecker, Thomas G:son

The pop phenomenon A*Teens, consisting of Marie Serneholt, Sara Lumholdt, Dhani Lennevald, and Amit Paul, was formed in 1998 and rose to international fame through their distinctive interpretations of ABBA’s timeless hits. They topped the charts not only in Sweden but also achieved global success, breaking through in markets such as the United States, South America, and Asia. The group also toured alongside Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. After a 20-year absence, ATeens made a celebrated comeback at Melodifestivalen 2024 with a spectacular medley performance. Now, the group is releasing new music for the first time in over two decades and will make their competitive debut at Melodifestivalen 2026 with “Iconic,” a song they describe as a bridge between past and present ATeens.
