Theo Evan, whose full name is Evangelos Theodorou, is the first artist selected for Eurovision 2025, is a rising star who has already made an impact in the music world despite his relatively recent emergence on the music scene. A gifted singer, songwriter, and dancer, Theo Evan has been immersed in music since childhood, starting dance lessons at the age of seven and writing songs in his teens. Born in Nicosia, he honed his talents through school choirs, theater productions, and talent shows across Cyprus, where he frequently earned awards.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, one of the most prestigious music schools in the world, Theo Evan completed his studies with honors ahead of schedule. His exceptional performance earned him the distinction of being a guest of honor at three consecutive graduation ceremonies, alongside music icons such as Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliott, Pharrell Williams, and John Legend. After his studies, Theo Evan returned to Los Angeles to shape his musical career but has since come back to his hometown of Nicosia.

Theo Evan has released several singles, including “The Wall“, “SAVE ME FROM MYSELF” and “Dark Side” all of which have received positive reviews. He even made a brief appearance in the second season of HBO’s “Euphoria.” His journey to Eurovision 2025 marks the latest chapter in the story of an artist whose passion for music has always been at the forefront.

Theo’s upcoming song, set to be unveiled at a later date, will mark Cyprus’ 41st entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. The island nation’s top performance in the competition so far was in Lisbon in 2018 when Eleni Foureira dazzled the audience with “Fuego,” securing a second-place finish.
