The Selection Process

The Swiss national broadcaster, SRF, has devised a comprehensive multi-stage selection process to ensure the best talent represents Switzerland on home ground. This process involves both national and international juries, ensuring a fair and well-rounded evaluation.

Artists, producers, songwriters, and lyricists are encouraged to submit their entries during the two-week window in August (8-22 August). The chosen song and artist will be unveiled at the beginning of 2025. As the host nation, Switzerland’s entry will automatically qualify for the Grand Final of Eurovision 2025.

To be eligible to perform at Eurovision, potential participants must satisfy several key requirements. Firstly, they must be at least 16 years of age by May 1, 2025. Additionally, they need to be available from January to May 2025 for all necessary preparations and rehearsals. Performers must also be capable of delivering a live performance of their song during the contest. Furthermore, any song submitted must be completely unpublished prior to September 1, 2024.
