Dear Eurovision fans,

It has been almost two years since Israel launched its attack on Gaza — a war that has brought devastation and continues to this very day.

For a long time, I believed that this blog could remain impartial, focusing only on music and the Eurovision Song Contest. During this time, each member of the team has had the freedom to decide whether or not to cover news about Israel, in the spirit of respecting personal choice.

But today, neutrality is no longer an option. Remaining silent in the face of war and human rights violations would mean betraying the very values that Eurovision is supposed to represent: peace, unity, and respect among nations.

From this moment, this blog will no longer remain impartial. We openly and firmly join the call for Israel’s withdrawal from the Eurovision Song Contest.

We call on the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to take responsibility and act decisively. By allowing Israel to remain in the contest, the EBU undermines Eurovision’s credibility and its role as a platform for solidarity and cultural exchange. Eurovision cannot be used as a tool to whitewash violence.

To the fans: Eurovision has always been about more than music. It is about people, values, and the belief that art can bring us together. That belief means nothing if we close our eyes to injustice.

It has gone too far. The time to act is now.

In solidarity,
