After two semi-finals earlier in the week, the San Marino Song Contest concluded with its grand final on Friday, 6 March, featuring 21 competing songs. Viewers enjoyed performances from all 21 finalists, along with appearances by several guest artists in a live broadcast lasting more than three hours, capturing the spirit and excitement of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The winner of San Marino Song Contest 2026 was chosen by a five-member jury, who awarded first place to SENHIT with the song Superstar. SENHIT will now represent San Marino with Superstar in the second half of the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled for Tuesday, 12 May. This marks her 3rd participation in Eurovision, being the representative in 2011 and 2021 also.

Although the song is supposed to be a featuring with the iconic british singer Boy George, he did not appear in the National Final performance.

San Marino made its Eurovision Song Contest debut in 2008, the same year as Azerbaijan. The band Miodio represented the country with the song Complice, finishing last in their semi-final with 5 points. After the contest, San Marino withdrew but returned in 2011 and has participated every year since. The country achieved its first qualification to the final in 2014 and has since reached the final three more times, most recently in 2025.
