Italy’s image at Eurovision last year was positive

The country remained respected because of consistent quality in live performances, strong staging and professional songwriting. Even when Italy did not take a top position, audiences and juries continued to view Italian entries as polished and authentic. This gives Sanremo 2026 an additional level of pressure, since the public expects a song that can keep Italy’s reputation high.
