NRK announced the next edition of Melodi Grand Prix! MGP is the Norway selection for Eurovision Song Contest.

How it works?

Last year, the voting was free. The public can vote on delta.nrk.no where they select only one artist to vote for.

In the Delfinale (semifinals) the public vote was 100% for selecting the finalists. For the final, a combination of televote (60%) and jury votes (40%) from 10 countries from the Eurovision participating countries list.

Submissions for 2025

The submission window opened on Tuesday 6 August and will remain open until Sunday 1 September. NRK has laid out the rules for songwriters and artists, as well as the submission form, over on their official website. 

Gåte won the MGP 2024

In 2024, Norway was represented by Gåte which were the last in the final.

Norway’s last top 5

In 2023, Alessandra was in the 5th place with the song Queen of Kings, receiving 268 points (216 points from the public vote and 52 points from juries)
