Welcome back to Euro Alfa! Today we have a short interview with Marino from Croatia! He will compete in the final of JESC this Saturday at 17:00 CEST. Enjoy!

1. How would you describe yourself and your musical journey so far?

I am a humble boy, at least my mom Manda says so, from a small town called Ploče, southern Croatia. But I dream big – and in my dreams I’m a singer for the rest of my life. On that path, I’ve won Voice Kids Croatia, and now I’ll be representing Croatia at JESC. How cool is that! I’m excited to see what the future will bring.

2. When did you first discover your passion for singing, and what inspired you to pursue music?

My mom showed me some videos of me when I was like 3 or 4 years old singing some Dalmatian songs – so I suppose I started singing before I was even aware of myself.

3. What message do you want to share through your Junior Eurovision song?

The song is about how all our little dreams can create something great – and than everything is possible when they merge together. I personally want love to always and everywhere reign in the world and for all the children to be happy.

4. What are your expectations for the contest, and what does this experience mean to you as a young artist?

JESC means a lot to me. This is my first song, and all of a sudden I’ll be on big stage in front of millions of viewers. Is there anything more I can ask for? 😀

5. What does a typical day in your life look like, balancing school, rehearsals, and free time?

My mom, and my whole family, are fully supportive and they are helping me balance between all of my obligations. Sometimes I’m tired and just want to play more with my friends but I’m aware what JESC and winning Voice Kids means. My mom is a teacher so she doesn’t let me miss anything. School is on the first place, then I rehearse the song, then relax and then my mom and I are having time for us and then we answear interviews – just like this one.

6. What hobbies and interests do you enjoy outside of music?

I enjoy playing with my friends and cruising around on my kick scooter. Summer is may favorite part of the year – and in Dalmatia we have beutiful cost, and I fully enjoy swimming and those kind of activities.

7. What message would you like to send to your fans in Romania and everyone supporting you?

I would love one day to visit Romania and explore your country – and maybe do a duet with some artist of yours. The message for Romania and rest of the world would be this: smile more, love more, play more, respect more – and together we can do miracles.
