Neversea Kapital 2025 is just the beginning of a new era for urban festivals in Romania. The organizers have announced that, starting with 2026, the event will acquire a distinct identity under the name KAPITAL Festival, thus separating itself from the original seaside brand.

The stated objective is that, edition after edition, KAPITAL Festival will grow in scale, quality of the lineup and diversity of the activities offered. From the spectacular stage design to collaborations with internationally renowned artists, the organizers plan to constantly raise the bar, so that the festival becomes a must-see destination for the European audience.

Thematic and geographical expansions are also planned: cultural activations that integrate Bucharest’s heritage, partnerships with local and international artistic institutions, as well as accommodation and transport facilities dedicated to participants from outside the capital. All of this complements the vision of transforming Bucharest into a reference point on the global festival map, alongside the behemoths UNTOLD and Coachella.

In the long term, KAPITAL Festival aspires to support emerging electronic and urban music scenes in the region through artist residency programs, music production workshops and contemporary art exhibitions. Thus, the festival will not be just a three-day experience, but a cultural event with a lasting impact on the development of the creative scene in Romania and South-Eastern Europe.
