The Netherlands is set to participate in the 22nd edition of Junior Eurovision, which will take place in Spain. The national selection process is already underway, with four acts remaining for the final. The winner will be chosen at the Junior Songfestival 2024 on September 21.

After 47 aspiring singers participated in in-person auditions, 20 advanced to the Academy round, where nine young talents were ultimately selected to compete in the final.

These finalists, aged between 11 and 14, were chosen by a panel of judges. Nine selected are: Chiara (13), Niek (12), Ruben (14), Inkar (11), Saïda (13), Veronika (12), Hidde (13), Dunyah (13), and Miucha (11).

Following their selection, the nine finalists were grouped into either solo acts or groups for the Dutch selection process. This led to the formation of two groups, while two solo acts advanced to the final round.

The four final songs are available for you to listen to below.

For those interested in attending the final on September 21st, tickets can be purchased directly on the AVROTROS website.

🥇1st place: RUBEN – COLORS OF MY HEART (average position in our tops of 1.8 place)

🥈2nd place: STAY TUNED – MUSIC (average position in our tops of 2.2 place)

🥈2nd place: VERONIKA – DREAMS ARE BUILT TO LAST (average position in our tops of 2.2 place)

🥉3rd place: HIDDE | SAÏDA | DUNYAH – IN M’N PRIME (average position in our tops of 3.8 place)

Last year’s Junior Songfestival was won by Sep & Jasmijn with the song “Holding On to You”. They represented the Netherlands in Nice, France, and placed 7th with 122 points.

The Netherlands has been a consistent participant in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, taking part in every edition since the contest began in 2003. The country achieved its sole victory in 2009 when Ralf Mackenbach won with his song “Click Clack.”
