RTÉ has officially opened the song submission window for Ireland’s entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will take place in Basel, Switzerland.

RTÉ invites experienced songwriters, performers, and artists with proven talent to submit their original songs. The submission must include a complete, high-quality recording in MP3 format, along with a biography and photo of the performer(s). Songs should be tailored for Eurovision’s youth-oriented audience, and performers must demonstrate strong vocal ability, stage presence, and ambition to compete on a global stage.

Entries will be reviewed by a panel of music industry professionals and Eurovision fans. Some shortlisted artists may have the chance to perform live on TV in early 2025, where the final Irish representative will be chosen. RTÉ reserves the right to select or modify performers and songs as needed to ensure Ireland’s best chance at Eurovision success.

The deadline for submissions is 6 p.m. on November 18, 2024, and entries can only be submitted through the official RTÉ website. Full contest rules and guidelines can be found here.

The Irish broadcaster, RTÉ, organised the national final Eurosong 2024 in order to select the Irish entry for the 2024 contest. The national final was won by Bambie Thug with the song “Doomsday Blue”, which successfully represented Ireland and placed on the 6th place with 278 points.
