Interested participants have until September 30 to submit their entries to the Czech public broadcaster for a chance to represent the country in Eurovision 2025. ČT has announced that after a few years of organizing a national final, they will once again opt for an internal selection to choose the artist who will represent the Czech Republic in Basel for Eurovision 2025.

Three different jury panels will evaluate the submitted songs to select the Czech entry. The selection process will involve a focus group of Czech citizens (40%), an international jury of professionals (40%), and a panel organized by the Czech broadcaster (20%).

Only Czech citizens are eligible to apply as performers, while composers from abroad are welcome to submit their songs even without an artist. In such cases, ČT will match the compositions with a local singer.

In this year’s Eurovision held in Malmö, Aiko represented the country with the song “Pedestal.” However, the entry did not reach the grand final, finishing 11th in the second semi-final.
