Germany Chooses Its Representative for Eurovision 2025: The 24 Artists of ‘Chefsache ESC 2025’

Germany’s selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 is underway with the competition “Chefsache ESC 2025 – Wer singt für Deutschland?”. Organized by Stefan Raab and his team, the selection has narrowed down an impressive 3,281 applications to just 24 participants who will compete to represent Germany in Basel, Switzerland, on May 17.

A Selection Format with Four Live Shows

The selection process will consist of four live broadcasts. The first three semifinals will air during prime time on RTL on February 14, 15, and 22, where a jury composed of Stefan Raab, Yvonne Catterfeld, Elton, and guest judges will evaluate the participants. The grand final, on March 1, will be broadcast on public television ARD, as well as on ARD Mediathek, eurovision.de, and ONE, where the public will have the final say in choosing the winner.

All shows will be hosted by the charismatic presenter Barbara Schöneberger, a recurring figure in Germany’s Eurovision-related events.

The 24 Selected Artists

The following artists have secured a place in the live shows of “Chefsache ESC 2025”:

Solo Artists and Duos: Parallel (Stuttgart), Abor & Tynna (Vienna), Benjamin Braatz (Hagen), Chase (Hamburg), JALN (Cologne), Cage (Cologne), Jonathan Henrich (Cologne), LEONORA (Cologne), Noah Levi (Berlin), Equa Tu (Münster), JULIKA (Düsseldorf), Moss Kena (Berlin), ADINA (Heidelberg), NI-KA (Frankfurt/Main), Janine (Berlin), LYZA (Berlin), Enny-Mae x Paradigm (Berlin), Cloudy June (Berlin), Vincent Varus (Stuttgart), and FANNIE (Berlin).

Bands: Feuerschwanz (Nuremberg), From Fall to Spring (Saarland), The Great Leslie (London/Efringen-Kirchen), and COSBY (Munich).

Twelve of these acts will compete in the first live show on February 14, although the names of the performing artists have yet to be announced.
