Georgia is bringing a real piece of Junior Eurovision history to the main stage in Vienna: Bzikebi have been selected to represent the country at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in May 2026.

If that name rings a bell, it’s because they’re not just any throwback. Bzikebi were the Junior Eurovision champions in 2008, delivering Georgia’s first Junior Eurovision win, the starting point of what has since become a record-setting four Junior Eurovision victories for the country.

From Junior winners to Eurovision contenders

Back in 2008, the trio were only 10 years old when they won Junior Eurovision, instantly becoming one of the contest’s most memorable winners. Now, broadcaster GPB is betting that the same magic can work on the Eurovision stage, this time in front of the Eurovision audience in Vienna.

The group is made up of Giorgi Shiolashvili, Mariam Tatulashvili, and Mariam Kikuashvili.
As for the big question: What will they sing? The Eurovision site confirms that their competing song will be released later.

At Junior Eurovision 2025 in Tbilisi (hosted after Georgia’s fourth Junior Eurovision win in 2024), the original champions reunited as an interval act. Their performance of a new song, “We Don’t Sleep,” sparked a lot of online chatter and plenty of fans started wondering if it was a hint that a Eurovision comeback was finally coming.

Vienna 2026 will be Georgia’s 18th appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest.
