Eurovision Song Contest 2025 Records Highest Viewing Share Since 2004

The European Broadcasting Union has revealed that the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 reached an audience of 166 million viewers across 37 participating countries.

The Grand Final achieved a viewing share of 47.7%, marking the highest audience share for Eurovision since 2004. In 19 of the 37 countries, more than half of the viewing audience tuned in to watch the Final. Across all three live shows, the total viewership increased by 3 million compared to the 2024 edition.

As part of the Rest of the World Vote, people from 146 countries cast their votes. The top ten voting nations outside Europe were:

  • Canada
  • Romania
  • Slovakia
  • Mexico
  • TΓΌrkiye
  • Hungary
  • Kosovo
  • United Arab Emirates
  • South Africa

Online engagement continued to soar, with Eurovision content viewed 748.5 million times on TikTok and 969 million times on Instagram. The virtual experience My Eurovision Party on Roblox attracted 1.2 million visits from 183 countries, with over 23,000 users online during the Grand Final.

In Basel, the host city for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest, more than 500,000 people took part in Eurovision-related events. These included 100,000 attendees at the Opening Ceremony, another 100,000 at the live shows, and 343,000 visitors across Eurovision Village, Eurovision Square, and EuroClub.
