All six members of EURO Alfa had to submit their predictions for the 10 acts they think will qualify from each semi-final. Everyone submitted predictions, not personal rankings or opinions, so the main goal was to be objective and consider what the casual viewer would vote for and enjoy.

Semi-Final 1

SURE QUALIFIERS ✔️

All 6 bloggers of EURO ALFA agreed that the following songs will qualify:

✔️ Sweden 🇸🇪 – KAJ – Bara Bada Bastu

Sweden is the main favourite to win the entire competition, and they have an impressive qualifying streak. Our bloggers believe that Sweden will continue its successful run at Eurovision.

✔️Estonia 🇪🇪 – Tommy Cash – Espresso Machiatto

Estonia’s controversial Tommy Cash is not expected to have any trouble bringing his country to the final, according to our bloggers. Espresso Machiatto is a televote magnet that will likely inspire many viewers to vote for him.

✔️ Netherlands 🇳🇱 – Claude – C’est La Vie

The Netherlands is predicted to qualify according to the official odds, and our blog agrees! C’est La Vie is a strong, catchy, pleasant, and polished track performed by a charismatic singer. We believe these qualities will be enough to take the country to the final.

✔️ Poland 🇵🇱 – Justyna Steczkowska – “GAJA”

We predict that Justyna will bring Poland back to the Eurovision grand final with her over-the-top performance of GAJA. She gives it her all on stage, and we’re confident the televote will reward her with a spot in the final.

✔️ Albania 🇦🇱 – Shkodra Elektronike – “Zjerm”

Albania is expected to return to the final after last year’s non-qualification. Zjerm is a powerful song that has received praise and love from fans since December, and we believe the casual viewer will appreciate the uniqueness of this entry.

✔️ Norway 🇳🇴 – Kyle Alessandro – “Lighter”

Kyle Alessandro delivers a strong and confident performance of his pop track Lighter, which we believe will be enough to qualify Norway for the final.

✔️ Belgium 🇧🇪 – Red Sebastian – “Strobe Lights”

Even though the odds currently place Belgium in 9th, we’re confident that Strobe Lights is a sure qualifier. With a powerful and confident performance, Red Sebastian is likely to convince the audience and earn his ticket to the final.

ALSO QUALIFIED ✔️

✔️ Cyprus 🇨🇾 – Theo Evan – “Shh”

Laur is the only blogger who doesn’t see Cyprus qualifying, but the other five believe that Theo Evan’s exciting staging and performance will be enough to bring the country to the final.

✔️ San Marino 🇸🇲 – Gabry Ponte – “Tutta L’Italia”

Everyone except Reza agrees that Gabry Ponte will take San Marino to the final with his track Tutta L’Italia. San Marino is also predicted to qualify according to the odds, and we agree with that.

✔️ Ukraine 🇺🇦 – Ziferblat – “Bird of Pray”

Four out of our six bloggers think Ukraine will qualify, with only Raul and Laur expressing doubts. Ukraine is a Eurovision powerhouse and has always reached the final, so most of us are confident this year will be no different.

NON-QUALIFIERS ❌

❌ Iceland 🇮🇸 – VÆB – “RÓA”

Two of our six bloggers: Raul and Reza believe that Iceland will qualify. Eurovision is full of surprises, and VÆB’s infectious energy might just get the audience to vibe and vote for them. Still, the majority of our team predicts this entry will not make it to the final.

❌ Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 – Mamagama – “Run With U”

Azerbaijan hasn’t qualified in a while, and we unfortunately believe this trend will continue. Only one blogger, Laur, predicts qualification, while the rest think Azerbaijan’s entry isn’t strong enough this year.

❌ Croatia 🇭🇷 – Marko Bošnjak – “Poison Cake”

After finishing 2nd last year, we’re not very confident that Croatia will make the final this time around. Once again, only Laur predicts qualification; the others believe Croatia will miss out.

❌ Portugal 🇵🇹 – NAPA – “Deslocado”

Sadly, all six of us think that Portugal’s gentle and warm song won’t be strong or memorable enough to capture the viewers’ attention.

❌ Slovenia 🇸🇮 – Klemen – “How Much Time Do We Have Left”

All six members agree that Slovenia won’t qualify this year. Despite Klemen’s touching song, we believe the entry is not memorable enough to make it through.
