Raul: WHAT THE HELL? (Oh sorry, this is for UK:)) BUT STILL. It’s the weakest song from Ukraine ever. Even the song from JESC 2024 (Artem Kotenko – Dim/Home) was A THOUSAND TIMES MORE SUITABLE FOR ESC THAN THIS. Horror song, horror, horror moment, 2.
Grade: 2/10

Reza: Vidbir wasn’t particularly strong this year, and although other options like “My Sea” by Molodi could’ve ended up as one of my favourite songs of the season, Ukraine went with the main favourite: Ziferblat with “Bird of Pray.” Sadly, the song is one of my least favourites this year, as it’s not the kind of music I usually stream or listen to. Still, objectively speaking, it’s not a bad entry, it definitely has its strengths and will appeal to many. However, I do feel it’s one of the weakest songs Ukraine has sent to Eurovision in the past decade.
Grade: 3/10

Laurentiu: “Bird of Pray”… Yeah, it marks a departure from the country’s typically strong performances in the contest. While the song attempts to blend elements of prog rock, musical theatre, and 1970s-inspired sounds, the result feels outdated and lacks a compelling hook to engage listeners. Despite the band’s evident musical talent, the track fails to leave a lasting impression, making it one of Ukraine’s weaker entries in recent years. Given Ukraine’s consistent track record of qualifying for the Grand Final, it’s uncertain whether this entry will maintain that streak.
Grade: 3/10

Stefania: It’s like when you order pizza and they bring you salad technically fine, but… not what you were dreaming of. There were so many good songs in the selection that I can’t help but feel a little let down.
Grade: 5/10

Florin: This is such a downgrade from last year’s entry. I have no idea why they chose this over so many better songs in their NF but it’s just giving nothing. Honestly, i don’t really like anything about it, the song, the staging, the aesthetic.
Grade: 3/10

Antonio: “Bird of Pray” isn’t a song I’d usually listen to on a daily basis, but I can’t say it’s as weak as some other entries this year. The fact that I’ve caught myself singing it in my room from time to time says a lot! That said, it doesn’t quite reach the standard we’ve come to expect from Ukraine at Eurovision. It might be a bit too much of “real music” for some fans, but they’ll probably still make it through to the final.
Grade: 5/10

Overal grade: 3.50/10
