EUROAlfa Panel is back! This year, 8 of our members will rate and comment on every single entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest! Today’s country is Serbia represented by LAVINA with their song “Kraj Mene” 🇷🇸

1️⃣ Raul: I honestly don’t even know what to say… I don’t really get the fan hype around this one, but oh well :)) The song feels quite hard to digest, and the performance didn’t impress me either, so I don’t have many positive things to say. In Vienna, it might benefit from a good running order in the semifinal, but I’m still leaning towards it being an NQ.

Grade: 5/10

2️⃣ Reza: I was very sad when Zejna did not win with “Jugoslavija”, and at first I never really paid much attention to “Kraj Mene” because of its heavy metal sound, a genre I am not usually a huge fan of. However, the more I listened to it, the more I began to appreciate and enjoy it. It is different, unique, intense, captivating and truly impressive. His vocals are outstanding, and even though they may not be everyone’s cup of tea, his technique is undeniably amazing. This is a strong entry that definitely will not go unnoticed. I am glad that Serbia is back with a bang after the disaster from last year!

Grade: 9/10

3️⃣ Florin: I really did not like this song at first, but it’s definitely a grower and now I can say that I enjoy it. This is very different and will stand out among the other songs, but I’m not really sure how the jury and televoters will feel about it. It’s very unpredictable, this is one ot those entries that can get a top 10 result or totally flop depending on how it’s perceived at first listen.

Grade: 6/10

4️⃣ Stefania: A true “hit or miss” entry, it could either finish in the Top 5 or fall all the way to the bottom. The song carries a strong emotional weight, and the way it is delivered is genuinely captivating. While I personally enjoy it a lot, I’m aware that it may be harder to digest for a broader audience. Still, the lyrics and the overall performance are truly impressive, showcasing a high level of artistry and professionalism.

Grade: 7/10

5️⃣ Laur: I can’t listen to this. I understand it’s not my genre, but I still think this type of music is very niche. With all respect for the artists, I don’t find anything appealing here.

Grade: 1/10

6️⃣ Titi: Serbia’s song is not my style at all. I find it hard to listen to and not very accessible for the public. I don’t understand why there’s so much hype around it, because personally, I don’t like it at all. The only advantage is its style, which makes it stand out, but I still don’t think it will manage to qualify.

Grade: 5/10

7️⃣ Nella: As I mentioned for Romania – I love metal music. But this time, I fear the Serbian entry is a bit clunky for me. It’s either flopping or elevating by the solist with his amazing vocals. I hope they’ll do well, but I don’t want to jinx it from now.

Grade: 5/10

8️⃣ Mircea: I am going to be very direct – I don’t like this song at all (but it`s just my opinion of course). I didn`t expected this type of music genre from Serbia, but that is not my issue. The song is very dramatic for me and not for my taste, but I appreciate the effort and also using the Serbian language is interesting and makes it more authentic.

Grade: 4/10
