EUROAlfa Panel is back! This year, 8 of our members will rate and comment on every single entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest! Today’s country is San Marino, represented by Senhit with her song “Superstar” 🇸🇲

1️⃣ Raul: The song is super catchy, but it just doesn’t feel like a Eurovision entry! I’d totally play it in the car on a long drive, but in the Eurovision context it feels a bit outdated… It could be borderline if they are lucky, but most probably it will end as an NQ. I don’t see it going any higher for Senhit.

Grade: 5/10

2️⃣ Reza: I honestly did not expect Senhit to return to Eurovision, but here we are! After the total banger she delivered in 2021, it is a bit disappointing that this time she is not coming with something equally strong. “Superstar” reminds me a little of “Freaky,” the song that was supposed to represent San Marino in 2020, which I also really liked. I know that, objectively speaking, these are not amazing songs, but I really enjoy this disco throwback kind of vibe. I hope Senhit revamps the song a bit, polishes the overall package, and delivers a strong performance on stage. Her chances of qualifying are quite tight, but I truly wish her the best.

Grade: 7/10

3️⃣ Florin: Senhit is baaaack in the houseee. And probably with the worst song she had in ESC. The chorus sounds like a song you’d hear in a Rupaul’s Drag Race challenge, and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. The song is listenable if let’s say it came up in a playlist, but not something i’d play by choice. Also, I really hope she loses Boy George on the way to Vienna.

Grade: 3/10

4️⃣ Stefania: Senhit is a performer I usually have higher expectations from, which makes this entry particularly disappointing. There’s something about the song that simply doesn’t connect, it lacks impact and a clear direction.

Grade: 3/10

5️⃣ Laur: This feels like it was made in one hour in the studio. It’s catchy, I admit, but it has no chance to qualify. It’s a shame, especially for Senhit.

Grade: 3/10

6️⃣ Titi: Senhit returned exactly when she shouldn’t have. Adrenalina was one of my favorite songs, but this year’s entry is very generic and has no distinctive elements. After last year’s qualification, unfortunately, it seems San Marino is going back to its old habits.

Grade: 5/10

7️⃣ Nella: I love Senhit’s personality and charisma on stage but, baby, it’s time to retire! The song can be categorized as just fine but it’s not memorable at all. Feels like they did it for the sake of it, nothing more.

Grade: 4/10

8️⃣ Mircea: Senhit is back again with another 80s vibe song. Unfortunately, it is not good as her last entry in Eurovision in 2021. But I must say, I find it catchy and I can say it`s one of my guilty pleasures of this year. The song itself is not very good, but has something that makes me dance. I don`t know what to say about the ICONIC Boy George which I cannot believe he`ll join the big family of Eurovision (or not, let`s see). I have mixed feelings for now, that`s why I gave this song a 5.

Grade: 5/10
