Raul: The song isn’t bad at all, it’s actually pretty nice for a club night, though definitely not Eurovision material. Still, if I had to choose one track from their selection, this would be it. So the issue isn’t that they’re heading to Basel. The song has some potential for good staging, and I’m really curious to see how they’ll pull it off in Basel. As for qualifying to the final, it’s hard to say at this point. A score of 7 feels more than fair for now. If the staging turns out well, it could easily go up to an 8 and who knows, maybe even land in 10th place in the semifinal. We’ll see!
Grade: 7/10

Reza: This reminds me of the songs they used to play at Danish high school parties 💀. But honestly, I don’t mind it. I actually really like it it! This genre is very popular in Scandinavia, and it has a great vibe and energy. VÆB are strong performers and bring a lot of energy, but they could use some vocal training. All in all, I hope to see Iceland in the final!
Grade: 9/10

Laurentiu: Honestly, this is one of the weakest entries Iceland has sent in years. “Róa” feels half-baked, flat, and simply not competitive enough for Eurovision. It’s baffling that a country known for sending bold, memorable songs thought this was the right choice, especially when they had “Stormchaser” in the national final, a track with genuine Top 10 potential. The rap-pop blend here lacks cohesion, the energy never really lifts off, and the whole thing feels more like a filler act at a local music festival than a Eurovision entry. Qualifying for the final? Highly unlikely. It’s more disappointing than surprising.
Grade: 2/10

Stefania: This is pure Nordic nostalgia, and I mean that in the best way possible. Iceland basically said “what if Basshunter was reborn in 2025?” and I’m so here for it. Is it the most vocally polished entry? Not really. Will juries get it? Probably not. But I love it, and I’m crossing all my fingers that it squeezes into the final. It deserves its moment.
Grade: 9/10

Florin: This type of song is not usually something I’d listen on a daily basis, but this just works. It got stuck in my head so quick and I find myself singing in Gibberish-Icelandic every time this song pops up. Seems like one of those songs who either finish in the top 10 or bottom 5, no in between. But it’s very enjoyable.
