EUROAlfa Panel is back! This year, 8 of our members will rate and comment on every single entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest! Today’s country is Finland, represented by Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen with their song “Liekinheitin“! 🇫🇮

1️⃣ Raul: Finland never disappoints!! Such a beautiful song, with a really, really nice sound — definitely one of my favorites this year! My only “disappointment” is that Linda won’t be able to perform the violin live, which would’ve made the moment even more intense. I can’t wait to see the performance in Vienna, especially after hearing about that massive staging document they submitted (30+ pages) — it makes me really curious!

Grade: 10/10

2️⃣ Reza: Everyone seems to love this, and I am no exception. This is a fantastic entry: epic, dramatic, and powerful. On top of that, Linda and Pete come across as true professionals who know exactly what they are doing. They radiate such strong energy, and whenever I watch their live performance, it honestly feels like two superstars are on stage. There is so much confidence and experience in the way they carry themselves. I really like the song, but I have to admit that it has grown off me a little since its release, and I am also not entirely sure how much I enjoy the UMK staging. That said, I know this is a very difficult song to stage, and they still managed to do an impressive job. It has all the ingredients to win Eurovision, and Finland absolutely deserves it after all the quality they have delivered over the years. UMK is, in my opinion, one of the best-produced and most professional national finals, so we know Finland would be more than capable of hosting. PS: Erika Vikman deserved the same “26% winning chance in the odds” treatment last year.

Grade: 9/10

3️⃣ Florin: This is what Eurovision is about. Dramatic and powerful, I can’t get enough of this song, and I think I played it daily ever since it was released. The violin is just amazing and it blends perfectly with the strong chorus. They are the first in the odds to win, and rightfully so.

Grade: 10/10

4️⃣ Stefania: A strong contender for the trophy. Last year, I predicted Finland as the winner, let’s see if that prediction holds true. I can’t wait to see what they’ve prepared for the stage.

Grade: 10/10

5️⃣ Laur: Winner. It has everything you want from a winning song. I don’t see any other winner. Linda is incredible, and Pete just needs to fix the final note. Everything else is already there. That’s how you win Eurovision. I’m very curious about the staging.

Grade: 10/10

6️⃣ Titi: If I had to sum up everything I’m about to say in one word, it would be EPIC. Finland is clearly a standout this season and brings something truly unique to the competition. After the performance at UMK, I knew they were going to win, and it’s the only song this season that gives me an overall winner vibe. Is that just because we’ve already seen the direction they’re going with the performance? We’ll have to wait and see.

Grade: 10/10

7️⃣ Nella: Ignoring the fact that I always hear “Linkedin” when I hear the title of the song, THIS is it! I love the violin, Pete’s vocals and overall how they blend, and the fact that the song is in Finnish too!
This coul easily take the trophy in May and I think we’re all here for it.

Grade: 10/10

8️⃣ Mircea: Everything about this is just perfection. The song is so good, especially the violin part which Linda is delivering with her great performance. Pete is also a great singer, I adore his charismatic performance in UMK. The staging is so captivating, it keeps me connected to the song more and more. For me Finland can win this contest with ease.
