EUROAlfa Panel is back! This year, 8 of our members will rate and comment on every single entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest! Today’s country is Bulgaria, represented by DARA with her song “Bangaranga“! 🇧🇬

1️⃣ Raul: FINALLY something with quality this season (along with Australia)! We’ve got the song, the performance, the attitude — she has charisma, she’s stunning, the stage presence and choreography are all there… it looks amazing!!! The full package! Final? For sure — I’m even hoping for a Top 10 for her!

Grade: 8/10

2️⃣ Reza: This is a disaster bop, but I am here for it. I cannot help myself, I really enjoy this song. It is incredibly catchy and joyful. DARA is such a great performer, and I love the way she delivers the song, as well as how professional and charismatic she is. I think I watched her national final performance on repeat many times, not necessarily because of the song itself, but because I was so fascinated by her stage presence. Of course, we can talk about the lack of authenticity, the nonsense lyrics, and all of that, because the song itself does not really have much substance or depth. My rating would probably be lower if I were trying to be more “objective,” but as I said, I really, really enjoy this track, so there is no point in giving it a lower grade when she completely won me over.

Grade: 9/10

3️⃣ Florin: Bangaslayranga! This is such a bop, I started singing along the first time I heard it and I’m sure Dara will put on a great show in Vienna. It’s an instant earworm and I can see this getting lots of points from the televote.

Grade: 9/10

4️⃣ Stefania: It has that effortless vibe that sticks in your head after one listen and refuses to leave. I’m really into this one and I’d love to see it end up high in the final.

Grade: 9/10

5️⃣ Laur: A banger. It doesn’t really have depth and feels quickly made, but I enjoy it. It makes me want to dance. I hope the staging is strong and energetic.

Grade: 6/10

6️⃣ Titi: What a BANGER! From the very beginning, I hoped DARA would represent Bulgaria, and I was sure she wouldn’t disappoint. Bangaranga is a bop that ticks all the boxes for a competition: it has catchy elements, a danceable regional beat, and a bridge that showcases the artist’s vocal skills. Although the song isn’t as appreciated by the community as I expected, for me it’s still the perfect bop that fits beautifully into this year’s line-up. With well-executed staging, I can easily see Bulgaria sneaking into the top 10.

Grade: 10/10

7️⃣ Nella: I jumped off my chair after listening to the instrumental! Simply magnetic, a bop for the ages even though some people might say it’s a combination of too many things at once…Welcome back, Bulgaria!

Grade: 10/10

8️⃣ Mircea: I love the beat and the song itself, although it’s a little bit simple and sounds more like a demo. Not sure what Bangaranga stands for, but I don’t care, this is a certified bop and I would definitely dance along Dara and her crew. I can see this in the final, but not very sure about the final result. Can`t wait for the concept of the staging.

Grade: 9/10
