EUROAlfa Panel is back! This year, 8 of our members will rate and comment on every single entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest! Today’s country is Azerbaijan, represented by JIVA with her song “Just Go”! 🇦🇿

1️⃣ Raul: Nope! Another BORING song… do we even have anything interesting this season?! Azerbaijan had something going, but that’s gone now — looks like they’re aiming for a new non-qualification record… Everything about this feels kind of atrocious. I think the vocals will be fine, she can probably deliver, but that’s it. The song? Basically nonexistent.

Grade: 4/10

2️⃣ Reza: I don’t know what has been happening to Azerbaijan lately, but it’s very sad to see their downfall, considering they used to be such a powerhouse. To go from that to a country that doesn’t even seem to be trying anymore is disappointing. And all the rumours about this one being AI-generated make it even worse. As for the song, it feels dead on arrival, and there is no way it is qualifying. It’s very much a millennial mom kind of song – nothing spectacular, nothing interesting. It’s just… there. I don’t mind it, but it doesn’t bring anything new to the table and it doesn’t stand out from the others.

Grade: 5/10

3️⃣ Florin: Not the AI song. From my point of view this is one of the most generic ballads, which doesnt stand out with anything. It has a soap-opera feeling to it, and not in a good way.

Grade: 2/10

4️⃣ Stefania: I’ve listened to it several times and still can’t remember a single thing from it. It just doesn’t leave any impression. I’m sorry, but for me this is a clear NQ. I expected much more from Azerbaijan.

Grade: 1/10

5️⃣ Laur: I’m disappointed they keep sending this type of entry. I don’t have much to say about it.

Grade: 2/10

6️⃣ Titi: To be honest, I was disappointed by Azerbaijan. I remember when Azerbaijan used to send great songs year after year and be a true powerhouse in the competition. Although in recent years they haven’t sent as strong entries, I had hoped that this year they would return to the old days when Azerbaijan set the bar high. But that didn’t happen this year. The song is flat, linear, and has nothing that makes it memorable.

7️⃣ Nella: I have nothing appropriate to say. It’s just a simple ballad with the simplest progression of chords, and that’s it. No effort from Azerbaijan this year

8️⃣ Mircea: What happened to Azerbaijan in recent years makes me very sad. I don`t like this song at all, except the final part in Azerbaiani which is cute. I usually love a ballad, but this one is a bit dated and forgetable. JIVA is amazing and I think she`s a great singer, but the song does not suit her true potential. For me it`s Azerbaijan`s worst song of all time in the contest.
