The EuroAlfa Panel — a group of six Eurovision-loving bloggers — is here to review and rate this year’s Junior Eurovision songs. We’re not professionals, but our passion for Eurovision and music drives us to share our honest opinions. We’ll be rating each song on a scale from 1⭐ to 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, with 1 representing a tune that didn’t quite hit the mark, and 5 reserved for those that truly shine! Next up, we take a closer look and see if Portugal’s 🇵🇹 “Esperança” by Victoria Nicole impressed our panel!

Antonio: A really strong contender to the trophy, and it’s so lovely that she actually was part of the writing process! I hope the live version goes really well (5⭐)

Florin: This is amazing! It’s the kind of song that could do well even in the big ESC. I was really not expecting this from Portugal in JESC. Also, the fact that she wrote the song, damn! Keep an eye on her, because we will hear more from this girl. (4.5⭐)

Laur: I initially loved the vibe of the song, but ultimately it didn’t quite deliver the full impact I was hoping for. (3⭐)

Raul: Wow! The fact that she wrote this song is truly remarkable. I can easily see this winning the contest without a doubt. Portugal consistently delivers entries that resonate well with the jury every year. Her vocals are fantastic, and the song is a genuine delight for my ears—even though I’m not typically a fan of this genre. I absolutely love it! Looking forward to seeing you in Portugal! (5⭐)

Reza: I had high expectations for Portugal this year, and I’m pleased to say I wasn’t disappointed. This excellent ballad features a remarkable vocalist, making it a strong contender to win the entire competition. I’m truly excited to see this performance live! (5⭐)
