Welcome to the second round of Junior Eurovision 2025 Reviews! Today, we will analyze and look into the competing songs from The Netherlands, Portugal, and Italy! 5 of our bloggers rated each song from (1-10) and 2 of them also left a comment of their impressions!

  1. THE NETHERLANDS šŸ‡³šŸ‡± – Meadow – “Freeze”

Mircea: I love how Netherlands is sending catchy songs every year, and this song is no exception. Definitely it will be a televote-favorite, and Meadow’s energy and charisma will bring a good result for the nation!! 10/10

Reza: Amazing hook, and her live performance is also great. Some may argue that it’s very repetitive and that the structure of the song is a bit weird, but I enjoy every single second of it. I think this is the most catchy song of this year for me. 10/10

Raul: 8/10

Stefania: 9/10

Titi: 9/10

Average: 9.20

2. PORTUGAL šŸ‡µšŸ‡¹ – InĆŖs GonƧalves – “Para onde vai o amor?”

Reza: This is such a vulnerable and beautiful song with a very authentic Portuguese touch. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I hope the juries will give it the flowers it deserves. For me, this is one of the highlights of this year’s competition, and I hope it will do well! 10/10

Titi: Oh, Portugal… I really love the vibe you bring to this song, and the lyrics are truly moving. But one thing kept it out of my top 5: the song feels a bit unfinished. It pulls you into deep emotions and makes you wait for that ā€œculminating momentā€ that should bring tears, but its somewhat linear structure lets the feeling fade at the end. I really admire what Portugal is trying to bring, and I hope the staging will beautifully complete the song. 9/10

Mircea: 5/10

Raul: 6/10

Stefania: 8/10

Average: 7.60

3. ITALY šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹ – Leonardo Giovannangeli – “Rockstar”

Titi: Italy, you really tried something different this year, but I don’t think it’s what I wanted. The style of the song is really nice and I understand the direction you were going for, but it feels a bit average. Aside from the chorus, which I actually really like, the rest of the song is pretty mid and quite easy to forget. 7/10

Reza: like what they tried to do here, it’s very different and more authentic compared to the others, but I don’t think the delivery is that strong. Sadly, the song is just not very pleasant to me, and I have a hard time connecting with it. That being said, I do appreciate the originality and that it’s something different from the other participants. 5/10

Raul: 5/10

Mircea: 5/10

Titi: 5/10

Average: 5.40
