EURO Alfa Panel is back for another round of reviews. This time, we will look into the 18 competing songs of Junior Eurovision 2025. There will be 6 rounds of reviews, with 3 songs in each. The country with the highest average score (from 1–10) will win the EURO ALFA Jury Panel. 5 of our bloggers will give ratings and 2 of us will also give a comment regarding our grading. Today, we will analyze and look into the competing songs from Albania, Croatia, and Montenegro!

  1. ALBANIA 🇦🇱 – Kroni Pula – “Fruta Perime”

Raul: Fruta Perimeeee! OMG, Albania is being original once again! I absolutely love it — her energy and stage presence are spot-on. The song is perfect for JESC; kids are going to love it. She could either land in the top 10 or end up last, but I really hope she gets that top-10 spot because she truly deserves it. Kroni is going to shine so brightly on that stage! 9/10

Reza: Miss Pula delivers an energetic performance of ‘Fruta Perime’, and I absolutely love it! She has unmatched charisma, bringing good vibes and tons of energy through the screen. Junior Eurovision needs songs like this. The message is important, but delivered in a joyful, playful way, exactly as it should be. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and the juries may prefer more serious songs, but this is just too fun and iconic to ignore. 10/10

Mircea: 8/10

Stefania: 8/10

Titi: 10/10

Average: 9.00

2. CROATIA 🇭🇷 – Marino Vrgoč – “Snovi”

Stefania: The idea that no dream is too small or too big is beautiful, and the imagery of dreams as “little firelights” shining in the dark is poetic and meaningful. Message itself is strong: dreams guide us, unite us, and remind us that anything is possible. However, even though the song is good, I personally feel it doesn’t fit a Junior Eurovision performer. While the message is positive, the emotional weight of the song makes it hard to imagine it being delivered naturally by a child. It feels like a song about life experience rather than childhood dreams, which makes the performance less relatable in a Junior Eurovision setting. 6/10

Titi: Welcome back, Croatia, to the contest! I’m happy to see more countries participating in Junior Eurovision. I expected something different from Croatia. This song feels a bit old for Marino’s age. His voice is truly angelic, but the song itself doesn’t do him justice. I don’t see Croatia placing very high, but I hope this won’t discourage them from participating in the future, like what happened with Estonia. 5/10

Mircea: 5/10

Raul: 4/10

Reza: 5/10

Average: 5.00

3. MONTENEGRO 🇲🇪 – Asja Džogović – “I Tužna i Srećna Priča”

Stefania: A child singing about loneliness and fear creates more of a melancholic mood than a joyful one. When the lyrics talk about a “dreamer” who is abandoned, alone, and searching for love only in dreams, it feels emotionally heavy for Junior Eurovision. The images of tears, fear, and guarding “fragments of sleep” are poetic, but also quite sad for a child to carry on stage. 5/10

Reza: This is your typical outdated Balkan ballad! Exactly the kind of thing you’d expect Montenegro to send. Don’t get me wrong, I have a soft spot for Balkan ballads, but this one just isn’t working for me. It has some nice moments and it’s certainly serious and mature, but it still feels dull and outdated at the same time. However, it’s a solid effort from Montenegro. 5/10

Raul: 6/10

Mircea: 6/10

Titi: 5/10

Average: 5.40

Average Scoreboard:

  1. Albania 🇦🇱 – 9.00
  2. Montenegro 🇲🇪 – 5.40
  3. Croatia 🇭🇷 – 5.00
