The EuroAlfa Panel — a group of six Eurovision-loving bloggers — is here to review and rate this year’s Junior Eurovision songs. We’re not professionals, but our passion for Eurovision and music drives us to share our honest opinions. We’ll be rating each song on a scale from 1⭐ to 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, with 1 representing a tune that didn’t quite hit the mark, and 5 reserved for those that truly shine! Next up, we take a closer look and see if Georgia’s 🇬🇪 “To My Mom” by Andria Putkaradze impressed our panel!

Antonio: The instrumental is so beautiful and its really emotional, especially the fact that its a song dedicated to his mom ❤️ A little underrated, but i think it will do good! (4⭐)

Florin: It sounds like a song the jury would eat up! Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of it, but I think it will place relatively high. (2⭐)

Laur: The song was not memorable at all. I was left with no impression after listening to it. (1.5⭐)

Reza: When I first listened to this song, I appreciated it, but I found it somewhat forgettable despite its emotional impact. The instrumental is beautiful, and the message is touching, but I wished it had a stronger, catchier, and more memorable quality. The absence of these elements contributed to Georgia’s lower ranking for me. (2.5⭐)

Raul: This song reminds me of “Mzeo” from 2016. It’s a good song, I think that the performance will look very similar to Mzeo because they are in the same area, I don’t see anything else to fit perfect than Andria himself on the stage. (3⭐)

Stefania: Georgia often experiments with unique, sometimes avant-garde entries, but this year i don’t resonate with the song. (2.5⭐)

EuroAlfa’s Panel Results:

  1. North Macedonia 🇲🇰 (4.3⭐)
  2. Cyprus 🇨🇾 (3.9⭐)
  3. Estonia 🇪🇪 (3.5⭐)*
  4. Italy 🇮🇹 (3.5⭐)
  5. Albania 🇦🇱 (2.9⭐)
  6. Poland 🇵🇱 (2.75⭐)
  7. Georgia 🇬🇪 (2.6⭐)

* Estonia’s 🇪🇪 highest score was a 5⭐, Italy’s 🇮🇹 highest score was a 4.5⭐
