After not reaching the top 15 since Michael Schulte’s success in Lisbon in 2018 with the song You Let Me Walk Alone, Germany is back with another national final, hoping to return on the right side of the scoreboard this year.

Germany is set to select their Eurovision Song Contest entrant on Friday, February 16th via Das Deutsche Finale 2024. The show will be presented by the one and only Barbara Schoneberger, being held in the capital city of Berlin. This year the national final is revamped once again and will be aired on Das Erste and website eurovision.de from 22:05 CET time.

Das Deutsche Finale 2024 will include 9 acts, which will compete for winning the ticket to Malmo, Sweden in order to wave the German flag in the final on May 11. The show will gather guests such as Lord Of The Lost (last year German representatives), Mary Roos, Riccardo Simonetti, Florian Silbereisen, Alli Neumann, Rea Carvey and Conchita Wurst ( Ich Will Zum ESC! coaches). The German representative will be selected not only by televote, but also by an international jury. The results will be based on 50/50 combination of the international jury and televote. The international jury will consist of musical experts from countries such as Spain, Lithuania, Switzerland, Austria, United Kingdom, Sweden, Croatia and Iceland.
