The first televised heat aired today, February 14, 2025. In this round, twelve participating artists will perform either a cover song or one of their older tracks. An expert jury will then select the top acts to advance to the semi-final. The jury panel for both shows includes Stefan Raab, singer and actress Yvonne Catterfeld, and presenter Elton. Additionally, German 2004 entrant Max Mutzke served as a guest juror in the first heat.

The qualified acts are the following:

• Jonathan Henrich
• Feuerschwanz
• COSBY
• Cage
• Abor and Tynna
