SVT (Sveriges Televisions) announced some changes in the format of Melodifestivalen 2025!

SONG BEFORE HEATS (DELTAVLINGS)

SVT will publish the audio version of each song – for the heat on Saturday – in the Friday before the heat. That means that we don’t have to wait until the deltavling 5 to listen to the audio version of the songs.

ONLY 3RD PLACE WILL GO TO THE 2ND CHANCE

The Andra Chansen format (Another Chance) was changed during the years. In 2025, only the 3rd place from each deltavling will go to the Finalkvalet. The most voted song from the 3rd places in their deltavling will go DIRECT TILL FINALEN while the other 4 will go to televote. The most voted song will go to the final.

THE FINAL

The final will take place in Strawberry Arena (ex Friends Arena) where 12 songs will compete for representing Sweden in Switzerland.
