Spain: Lucas Paulano Selected for Junior Eurovision 2026 in Ta’ Qali

Lucas Paulano has been officially confirmed as Spain’s representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The announcement was made this evening during the season finale of the program El perro andaluz on La 1.

Following the process established since Spain’s return to the contest in 2019, the young artist was selected internally by the Spanish broadcaster.

The 10-year-old singer hails from Jaén in the region of Andalusia. He is already a familiar face to Spanish audiences, having won the tenth season of La Voz Kids (The Voice Kids) in 2025. The song he will perform on the Junior Eurovision stage in Ta’ Qali has not yet been announced and will be revealed at a later date.

Lucas takes the baton from Gonzalo Pinillos, who represented Spain in 2025 with the song “Érase una vez (Once Upon a Time)”. Pinillos secured a strong 5th place finish in the final with 152 points, which included the maximum 12 points from the Portuguese jury.
