After several years as one of Sweden’s most successful pop artists, Dotter returns with new music. On her latest single, “Mr. Radio Beat”, she gives Alexandra Stan’s international smash hit “Mr. Saxobeat” a fresh new interpretation.

Blending nostalgic dance-pop with contemporary production, “Mr. Radio Beat” is a feel-good anthem tailor-made for summer. The result is both familiar and refreshingly modern – a tribute to the original while showcasing Dotter’s distinctive artistic identity and unmistakable vocals.

“My version is about losing track of time and becoming one with the music – and with the person who makes everything else fade away. It’s that feeling of being so completely absorbed in a moment that the rest of the world disappears,” says Dotter.

When Alexandra Stan released “Mr. Saxobeat” in 2010, the song quickly became a global phenomenon. The single reached the Top 10 in more than 20 countries, topped charts across Europe, and peaked at No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart. Since then, it has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and remains one of the defining European pop hits of the 2010s.

Since her breakthrough with “Bulletproof” in Melodifestivalen 2020, Dotter has established herself as one of Sweden’s leading pop artists. She has amassed millions of streams, earned major radio support, and followed up her success with acclaimed releases including “Little Tot” and “It’s Not Easy to Write a Love Song.”

Throughout her career, Dotter has collaborated with internationally renowned songwriters and producers including Michael Angelo (Sam Smith, Lady Leshurr), David Sneddon (Lana Del Rey), and Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé’s “Perfect”).

“Mr. Radio Beat” also marks a new chapter in Dotter’s career as her first release in partnership with Universal Music Group.

“Mr. Radio Beat” will be released on June 12 via Universal Music Group.
