🇷🇴 Romania: SelecÈ›ia NaÈ›ională’s jury revealed

Romanian broadcaster TVR has unveiled the seven-member jury tasked with selecting Romania’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Once the submission period closes, the jury will choose the songs that will advance to the Semi-Final of Selecția Națională 2026. The list of qualifying acts will be announced on February 6.

The Semi-Final will be held during the Eurovision 2026 Open Workshop. Across three days, the selected artists will perform their songs live in front of the jury and invited guests. These performances will be streamed live on TVR+ (tvrplus.ro) from February 9 to February 11. Following the Workshop, the jury will vote to determine the ten highest-scoring songs, which will move on to the Final of Selecția Națională 2026, where Romania’s Eurovision representative will be chosen.


The seven jurors for Selecția Națională 2026 are the following:

  • Andreea Bălan – famous singer and TV personality, best known as part of the legendary group Andre back in the 90s and also for being a juror in the Romanian version of Your Face Sounds Familiar
  • Andrei Tudor – a well-known composer in Romania which is not a stranger from the Eurovision world, being the composer of the 2008 entry of the nation and collaborating with artist such as Paula Seling, Laura Pausini or Ed Sheeran
  • Cristian Marica Rădoi – editor-in-chief and music playlist manager at Radio România Cultural, as well as a member of the EBU’s World Music group, being the creator of music programmes and a concert commentator for the Radio Musical Season, with over 30 years of experience.
  • Cristian Tarcea (Monoir) – more than 15 years of experience in music production and composition, contributed to songs that have achieved international success, amassing over 4 billion streams and views worldwide and featured with artist such as INNA, Alexandra Stan or WRS.
  • Doru Ionescu – with more than 35 years of experience in specialist journalism, he is the author of 17 books on Romanian rock, folk and jazz music and a member of the East European Rock Alliance, an international initiative that supports young talents and emerging rock bands from Eastern Europe.
  • Elena Popa – a journalist and digital content creator at the Ringier media group, a video producer, host of the Fresh by Unica podcast, and lead singer of the band Yolo Band.
  • Marius Dia – a composer, producer and A&R, and co-founder of Creator Records, with over 10 years of experience in both the Romanian and international music industries, which worked with major artists such as Jason Derulo and INNA and is known for developing successful, Gold and Platinum certified projects from debut to mainstream recognition.

Romania will select both its artist and song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 through Selecția Națională, with the Final scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 4.
