🇷🇴 101 Songs Submitted for Romania’s National Selection for Eurovision 2026 !

A total of 101 songs have been officially submitted to Romania’s National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, marking a strong start to the country’s search for its next Eurovision representative.

The submission period for Selecția Națională 2026 closed on Monday, February 2, after nearly three weeks during which composers and performers had the opportunity to enter the competition.

According to the official rules, the preselection of songs will take place on Thursday, February 5, while the names of the semifinalists will be revealed on Friday, February 6.

Live Performances and Semi-Final Stage

The second phase of the competition will be held as part of the “Eurovision 2026 Open Workshop”, a three-day event during which selected artists will perform their songs live in front of the jury. These performances will be streamed live on tvrplus.ro, and all competing songs will be uploaded to TVR’s official YouTube channel.

On February 12, the jury will announce the ten finalists who will advance to the final stage of the National Selection.


Grand Final on March 4

The Grand Final of Selecția Națională 2026 will take place on March 4, in the studios of Romanian Television (TVR). The winner, chosen exclusively by the jury, will earn the right to represent Romania at Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The final will be broadcast live on TV and online by TVR.

Romania at Eurovision 2026

Romania will compete in the second semifinal of Eurovision 2026, scheduled for May 14, performing in the first half of the show. The allocation was decided during the official draw held in Vienna.
