Bulgaria has officially unveiled the artists competing in its national selection, offering a line-up that highlights diversity, modernity, and a wide range of musical identities. From established pop stars to alternative and indie projects, this year’s selection suggests a clear attempt to explore different directions in the search for a competitive Eurovision entry.

About the national final

Bulgaria is preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with three selection shows.

Artist: Show 1 (Semi-final) & 2 (Final)

In the two first shows, the artist representing Bulgaria at Eurovision 2026 will be selected.

• Show 1: 15 artists perform a previously released song & 7 artists will qualify for the Artist Selection
• Show 2: 7 artists perform a previously released song (different song than in the previous show) & the artist’s song for Eurovision 2026 will be selected.

Song: Show 3

• The artist will perform three new songs
• The song with highest points will be the artist’s song at Eurovision 2026

Voting

• Semi-final: 5-member jury (1-5 points to each artist) & Online voting (15, 14, 13, …, 1 points)
• Final: 5-member jury (1-5 points to each artist) & Online voting (7, 6, 5, …, 1 points)
• Song Selection: 10-member jury (3, 2, 1 points) & Online voting (3, 2, 1 points)

Last participation

Bulgaria’s last participation was in 2022 with the band Intelligent Music Project. Unfortunatelly they failed to reach the Grand Final.
