TVR announced on its news broadcast that Antonio Pican and WRS will advance in the Romania`s National Final, scheduled on March 4th at 20:00 CET.

Innitially, TVR stated that one of the five wildcards will join the other ten finalists already chosen by the jury panel, letting the viewers to choose their favorite entry by streaming their semifinal performances on Youtube. According to the National Final`s producer, Iuliana Marciuc, the song who got the most views will get the wildcard for the final. As it is now, Antonio Pican and WRS are completing the line-up for the Grand Final, after a huge fight on Youtube views, meaning that 12 finalists will compete in order to represent Romania in Vienna.

Romania competes in the second semifinal scheduled on May 14th, participating for the 24th time at the Eurovision Song Contest, marking its first appearance after two years of absence. The nation got its best result in 2005 and 2010, finishing 3rd place with Luminița Anghel & Sistem – Let me try (Kyiv 2005) and Paula Seling & Ovi – Playing with fire (Oslo 2010).
