Participating broadcaster TG4 has announced the new format for this year selection for Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which will held place in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula: Madrid, Spain!

This year’s show features changes, including reducing the number of competing acts to 10. The new format will conclude with 4 episodes, where each week will feature Eurovision guests, starting with Brooke Scullion who represented Ireland in 2022. Other names speculated are the legendary Eurovision champions Linda Martin and Niamh Kavanagh.

One of the 10 final acts will get the chance to represent Ireland at the Contest, and we will fiind out who will be the lucky one on the 13th of October.

The last act who represented Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was Jessica McKean, accompanied by Sophie Lennon (who also represented her country in 2022) with the beautiful ballad Aisling in Nice, France.
