🇬🇷 Greece selects Akylas for Eurovision 2026 in Vienna

The countdown to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has begun. For its 70th edition, the competition will take place in Vienna, Austria, with live shows at the Wiener Stadthalle in May 2026. The First Semi-Final is scheduled for Tuesday, 12 May 2026, the Second Semi-Final for Thursday, 14 May 2026, and the Grand Final on Saturday, 16 May 2026.

Organised by the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT), Sing for Greece – Ethnikós Telikós saw a competitive lineup of artists this year. In the national final, Akylas secured the win and earned the right to represent Greece at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna.


The greek representative is revealed!

Akylas is considered one of the most promising emerging artists in the Greek music scene. Known for his distinctive vocal tone and emotional interpretation, he blends contemporary pop with Mediterranean influences. Over the past few years, he has built a growing fanbase thanks to his authenticity and charismatic presence.

During the national final, Akylas delivered a powerful and visually striking performance. His song is a modern pop track infused with ethnic elements, stood out for its dynamic staging and emotional intensity. He received 48 points, placing him first overall.

With strong vocals and confident stage presence, he now sets his sights on the Eurovision stage in Vienna.


Greece will take part in the First Semi-Final on 12 May 2026, performing in the first half of the show. Fans will be watching to see whether Akylas can qualify Greece for the Grand Final on 16 May 2026 in Vienna.
