Earlier today, the small Caucasian nation of Georgia confirms to ESCtoday the intention to take part in next year Eurovision.

This will mark the 17th participation in the contest for Gerogia. More details regarding the selection process are still to be revealed, but we can surely expect something as put together as this year successful participation.

Georgia first took part in Eurovision in 2007 and missed just one edition, back in 2009 when the song “We don’t wanna put it” couldn’t be changed in time to fulfill the rules of the contest.
The highest placed achived by Georgia in Eurovision is the 9th place, two times in a row, in 2010 and 2011.
Last edition, Nutsa Buzaladze took Georgia back to the Grand Final after a long 7-year non -qualification streak.
