DR has oficially opened up the submissions window for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix! Singers and composers from Denmark have a chance to submit their compositions until 27th of October.

Some of the key rules for participation in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix 2025:

1. Submission Requirements: Eight songs will be selected for the national competition, and submissions must include both an audio demo and a simple video of the artist performing the song. The winning entry will represent Denmark at Eurovision 2025.
2. Eligibility: At least one of the composers, lyricists, or performing artists must be a Danish citizen or have a strong connection to Denmark (such as residency, marriage, etc.).
3. Song Restrictions: The song must be original, no longer than three minutes, and must not have been previously performed, published, or sold without DR’s approval.
4. Language and Performance: The song can be performed in any language, both in the national competition and Eurovision. However, performances must comply with Eurovision’s rules, including no political messages or inappropriate content.
5. Publishing and Streaming: Artists agree to collaborate with DR on releasing the song for streaming and potential inclusion in the official Eurovision compilation.
6. Production Control: DR has the final say in all aspects of the show’s production, including staging, choreography, and sound. All promotional activities must be approved by DR.
7. Age and Team Limits: Performers must be at least 16 years old by the date of Eurovision 2025. A maximum of six people are allowed on stage.
8. Confidentiality: Until songs are officially announced, all involved parties must maintain confidentiality.

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will take place on the 1st of March in Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning. Last time when Herning hosted DMGP was in 2019 when Leonora won the competition with her song “Love is Forever”.
