After speculations that MDR could be in charge for the ESC 2025 were ended, the German Head of Delegation, Alexandra Wolflast, stated for EuroTripPodcast that Germany could internally select its representative next year.

After its success in the ESC 2024, Germany is now ready to commence the selection for the edition that will be taking place in the neighbor country, Switzerland. Isaak’s spectacular result in Malmo, Sweden ended the bad luck period when Germany’s results were not that great. Alexandra Wolflast, stated during an interview for EuroTripPodcast that there is a possibility that Germany would choose internally its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

For the moment, the national broadcaster NDR, Norddeutscher Rundfunk, is didn’t announce its selection method for the next year’s edition. What do we know? We can exactly have a look over their production, their creative selections and so on.

This year, Das Deutsche Finale was hosted by Barbara Schoneberger, and crowned its winner, Isaak. He began its career as a street musician. Years after, he participated in the TV show X Factor. Isaak Guderian tried his best this year in the German selection and represented its country in Malmo, Sweden. Germany competed in the Grand Final in May 2024 and with the song Always on the Run. At the contest, he placed 12th with 117 points.
