Innsbruckโ€™s Mayor has stated that the city intends to bid to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

The Capital of the State of Tyrol intends to bid to host the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Mayor Johannes Anzengruber told ORF Tirol that he has told the city to begin preparing documentation necessary to bid to host the competition. He explained that:

โ€œIโ€™ve already given the order to prepare all the documents. Weโ€™ve had discussions with the tourism association, and weโ€™re also in talks with ORF and the event venues about how we can make a good offer for our city.โ€

The bid from Innsbruck would focus on OlympiaWorld Innsbruck, which is a sports complex built for the 1964 Winter Olympics and home to the Olympiahalle. Innsbruck previously bid to host the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 and was one of three shortlisted cities.
